Question:

Quick easy meal for my boyfriend?

by  |  earlier

Tonight I want to make my boyfriend a simple dinner, because he will be eating at my house and my family is out of town. Me and him both are very picky about food. I don't want to make him a romantic meal or anything, just something simple (NOT PASTA - way too many grad parties this summer). What is a simple meal I can make?

  3. salmon patties are easy with a side of steamed asparagus ( 3.99 lb. where I'm at) serve it with butter and Parmesan, and do a box of ricearoni. it's fast, eas, cheap, and if you decorate the plate with some parsley, it'll look like you spent all day.

  4. Meatloaf is the way to a man's heart.

And its easy/breezy, no need for a recipe.  Get some ground beef and if you want, mix in some ground sausage, put it in a bowl and season it up with what you like.  I use onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper, add in an egg, some breadcrumbs (and yeah, if you don't have any just take some bread and break it up best ya can) now squirt in some ketchup and add in some generous dashes of Worcestershire sauce.  Now, roll up your selves and stick your hands in (wash 'em first) and squish and squash that mix together!!!!

Take a pan---it does NOT need to be a loaf, I, in fact, prefer to use my 9x13 cake pan, put the meat mix in and form a loaf, when I use the cake pan the  meat does not touch the side---it is a loaf running right up the middle.  Bake it at 350 for about 40 minutes, take out and put some ketchup and shredded cheese on top, back into the oven for about another 10, remove from oven, shut oven off and let the loaf sit for about 10 minutes.  Then EAT

Serve with baked tater, or make mashed (and using box if fine), corn or steam broccoli for your veggies.

  5. Taco Ring

    1 lb ground beef

    1 package taco mix

8 oz cheddar or jack cheese

    2 pkgs crescent rolls

Brown beef, drain of grease and add taco mix and water, according to

directions. When done add cheese and mix together until melted. Remove from heat and set aside.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Take crescent rolls and place each triangle on a greased cookie sheet, overlapping with the long point facing out in a circle. Taking a spoon or ice cream scoop, scoop up some of the ground beef mixture and place spoonfuls on the widest part of the ring all the way around. Take the points and fold them over and tuck them in under the wide part, covering part of the beef mixture. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until brown. Serve slices with chopped lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa.

  6. Go to Kraftfoods.com and click on either the Budget dinners tab or the Meals in minutes tab. I use it all the time and my boyfriend is the pickiest eater I have ever met. He loves it all!!

  7. Heat up some hot pockets they're good and buy some potato salad.

  8. My boyfriend's favorite meal ever is:

    That One Salad--

    1/2 head romaine lettuce

    1 tomato diced

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (buy at bulk foods in your grocery)

    1 cup craisins (dried cranberries)

    4 oz. crumbled bleu cheese

(If you don't like bleu cheese, use mozzarella or feta)

    Diced chicken breast (cook before)

    Dressing --

1 cup white balsamic vinegar, near the regular vinegar

    1/2 cup olive oil

Whisk or pulse in food processor or blender

    Pita--

Get pita bread and brush with olive oil.

Sprinkle each piece with a little garlic salt.

Bake for 7-9 minutes in oven on 400 until golden brown and crispy.

Toss salad all together and serve on top of Pita.

Make ground beef as you would for tacos

More tortillas, then water down the salsa and pour Salsa-Water over the top.

    More cheese.

    Let rest for 10 minutes.

    Slice into squares like lasagna.

    It'll be a hit.

  9. My simple meals consist of a lean meat on the grill (steak, chicken, shrimp, or fish), a steamed green veggie, and something easy from the grain/starch category (baked potato, rice, bread--rolls, breadsticks, biscuits, cornbread).

My husband's favorite is tacos, which couldn't be easier or tastier.

My personal favorite meal is grilled steak, steamed green beans, and baked sweet potatoes.  It's a colorful, wonderful combination, and is very easy to make.

    Have fun!

  10. a delightful chicken with sauce and potatoes and green beans w/ spices on the side. and wine.

    1 lb ground beef

    1 cup grated cheddar cheese

    Directions

    1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Bring to a boil the soup, water, and tomatoes.

    3Cook onion with ground beef.

4Place layer of slightly crushed Doritos in the bottom of a casserole.

5Add a layer of ground beef, a layer of soup mixture and a layer of Doritos.

6Continue until all ingredients are used.

    7Top with cheese.

8Bake in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

    9Serve and enjoy.

10You can also add canned beans and cooked rice to this casserole!

11If you can't get Rotel tomatoes, use a can of crushed, peeled tomatoes and add 1 tsp of seeded and minced jalapeno to them (or mild green chiles).
