Me and my fiance are thinking of going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I was wondering which is cheaper as far as motels and restaurants. The actual island of Hawaii or the island of Maui?

  1. The cheapest island to visit is Oahu, that is where Honolulu and Waikiki are located.  Since everything is within walking distance you do not need a rental car, so that saves you a bit.  Since it is the largest city the flights are cheap too!

If you are looking for a economic but CLEAN honeymoon Oahu woudl be a great choice.  Let me know if you have any other questions or you can check rates below.

  2. The island of Hawaii is much cheaper, except in Kona, which tends to match the prices in Waikiki. Food and restaurant costs are pretty much the same all over. Yelp has some useful tips and reviews:

There are lots of alternative rentals. Check with AAA where you live or online and vrbo.com

  3. Not totally sure about price differences, but I think they are pretty equal.  Both are great places.

  4. Maui is one of the most expensive islands.

I actually think that Hawaii and Oahu are comparable in price, depending on where you stay King Kamehameha hotel on Hawaii is right near downtown Kona, right on the beach, and has a great buffet on Saturday/Friday nights. (mmmmm crab).   I also reccomend Manago's hotel....it's a really quaint hotel towards the North East; has a beautiful ornamental garden, and is an historical monument...+ great pork chops!

  5. We have some great condos we rent in Maui, starting at $85/nt. They are across the street from one of the best beaches in Maui- Charley Young beach. They are very nice, and have many extras. We have many great testimonials, and they are in a great locale. Check out http://www.hotstays.com -Kihei condo # 1602. I think that Honolulu can be cheap, but Maui condos can be pretty reasonable, and the area is much prettier and nicer, with much less people.

  6. maui is really expensive actually the most expensive out of all the islands so i suggest the big island.. Just search up places to visit or stay at... ok pick me thank you
