Quick hermit crab question-molting?

how long will it take for my brother's hermit crab to eat his exoskeleton? He molted on the surface and he survived, and now he is recovering. His skin isn't completely hardened yet and it is still pink colored. He ate some of his exoskeleton already, but how much longer will it take? Thanks!

Expect a few more weeks. Put a divider in the tank if you haven't already. Don't introduce him to the other animals until he is hardened up.
