Quick i need an answer!!!!! about my fish.....

Question

ok my guppy just gave birth yesterday to 4 fry....

and now today i found 5 could there be more to come?

also today my sister just bought another guppy (male)

i only have a 1 gallon tank witch im keeping the fry in right now

the mama is in a plastic cup since yesterday!!!

my mom bought me a beeders net today... but it doesn't fit!so i want to get a 5 gallin tank so i can put the breeders net in there for the fry and the male and female

so now my mom is saying put the female guppy and the male guppy with the fry but i said no because then they will eat my fry

also is it ok to put just a female (who just had babies)

in with one male? or should i get another female?

i was thinking in a large vase will that be ok ?

with some zepherhills water?

some fish eat their fry, some dont.

since this is her first, i would put her in there and see what she does.

she can always have more

A one gallon tankisn't big enough for any fish.  A female guppy can have a hundred or more fry every 28 days so you'll need to either get at least a 10 gallon tank and just leave them be in it or start getting lots and lots of tanks to house all the fry if you save them all.  Guppies need heat and filters too.

As a temporary measure, you can put the male and the female guppy in a wide mouth gallon jar, while you are getting your 5 gallon tank.
