Quick question, i was born in the USA and i was wondering if i bring a girl from overseas, can i marry her?

  1. As long as it's not a marriage of convenience.  


  2. You have two ways to bring her into the United States.

    1) You could marry her in her home country and then petition her. This option is the most adequate for it would be easier to prove at the embassy your intentions.

    2) or you could file for a form which is called I-129f in which you have the intentions to marry her within 90 days of her arrival into the U.S.

  3. K-1  visa is a fiance visa, you must marry her with in 90 days upon her arrival to the U.S.

    K-3 visa is you are already married.

    You need to have a steady job, money for the petitions. This process will take year probably.  check out  www.USCIS.gov

  4. If you plan on getting married to a foreign woman in the USA you need to get a fiancee visa for her.  The process will take about a year from start to finish.

    If you try to bring this woman into the country with a tourist visa, lying to immigration at the port of entry as to your true intention, you both face big, big trouble.

    She'll be deported and you could face prosecution for fraud.
