My vegetarian options:

-Sauteed broccoli

-Buddhist delight

-Bean curd Szechuan style

-Bean curd home style

-Sauteed mixed vegetables

I like tofu, haven't had it in awhile. Is Buddhist Delight tasty? I want something flavorful, and not spicy. I haven't tried anything on this list. Sauteed veggies sound boring, is it seriously just veggies cooked in a little oil? Do they typically flavor it well?

I just want some TASTE.

(I used to order shrimp and broccoli in brown sauce before going vegetarian, if that helps)

  4. Ooo, I would go for bean curd szechuan stylee with noodles, delicious!

  5. My local place has "Bean Curd Vegetables" which is probably the "bean curd szechuan style"  Its fried curd cut into triangles, sometimes breaded like tsos, sometimes, just fried crispy mixed in with vegetables with a fermented bean sauce on it.

Its the best tasting vegetarian dish I've ever had.

  6. Hmm... most Chinese restaurants will put meat bits in the broccoli and veggies to "make it taste better".

I would suggest to ask the restaurant. It really differs among different restaurants. In the "veg" sections of the menu, it would mainly refer to "vegetables" and not "vegetarian", so watch out for dirty tricks.

Or, you can simply place a special order. Order it, and tell them, "no meat at all!"

  7. chicken chow mein
