Quick question about Marine Basic training!!?

I have heard that marines separate men and women during basic. I want to know if this is true!? Also, I have looked everywhere and cant seem to find where women do their basic!? I also can seem to find a list of their PDS's...Thanks a million for your answers!

Couple of things...

The word Marine is always capitalized.  Always.

Marines attend Boot Camp... not "basic training."

Female recruits training seperately from the male recruits.  MCRD Parris Island, SC handles boot camp for all male recruits living east of the Mississippi River and all female recruits.  MCRD San Diego conducts boot camp for all male recruits who live west of the Mississippi River.  (There are some exceptions to this, however ALL female recruits attend basic at MCRD Parris Islane.)

As for PDS limitations... Female recruits are assigned to their units according to the needs of the USMC, and single female Marines live in seperate barracks.

Yes the Marine Corps is the only branch of military that separates the men from the women. There are two different places to go to basic San Diego, CA and Parris Island, NC but women only train in Parris Island. Also all women go to MCT on the east coast as well where men go to the east coast or Cali.

Marine Boot Camp is definitely done separately , girls in one platoon and place and men in one . There are no distractions for either one . they are even separated by distance so that neither one sees the other until after graduation . Usually men train at either San Diego Calif and women train at Parris Island unless that has changed lately . Good luck , God bless and Semper Fi

okay yes women and men are trained seperate

all women go to BOOTCAMP at parris island, SC

while west of the mississippi river men go to MCRD san deigo

while men east of the mississippi goto MCRD parris island
