  1. You'll need to download winrar to extract the music files.

  2. its compressed like a zip file. You need winrar to unzip it. www.rarlabs.com

You can burn the mp3's to a cd using Windows Media Player and windows will convert it for you to .cda

  3. Download Winrar from http://www.rarlab.com/. It unzips the RAR file for you, and you should get  mp3 or wma files. If not, then there is something wrong with the file itself. Stock CD players should play .WMA files, I think that is the default extension. Don't think .WAV will work, only .WMA works.

  4. In computing science, RAR is a archive file format that supports data compression, error recovery, and file spanning. It was developed by a Russian software engineer Eugene Roshal (hence the name RAR: Roshal ARchive) and currently licensed by Win.RAR GmbH.[1]

The filename extension used by RAR is .rar for the data volume set and .rev for the recovery volume set. In previous versions, if a RAR-archive was broken into many smaller files (a "multi-volume archive"), then the smaller files used the extensions .rar, .r00, .r01, .r02 etc.

Version 1 and 2 archive files were often used in conjunction with a parchive file archiver to create parity files for error recovery when using less-than-perfect file transmission and storage media such as newsgroups, satellite transmission, and optical discs. Version 3 has eliminated the need for third party post-processing.

    STEPS

    -------------

Unextract all the mp3 files with WinRAR.

If you do not have WinRAR, download a free version here >>> http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

After you unextract them, simply load them onto Windows Media Player.

Before it burns the files, it will be converted to .wma format so your CD Player can play it.

  5. Download 7zip here. http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzi...  And extract the files where ever you want. They should be mp3 or wma. Use windows media player to burn a music disc.

  6. RAR is an proprietary archiving format similar to the Zip format. You'll need a program called 7zip in order to access the contents, which are probably in mp3 format. Once the archive is opened you will need to extract the songs to a folder of your choice.

You can get 7zip here, it's free open-source software that also lets you open Zip files among others:

    http://www.download.com/7-Zip/3000-2250_...

Since your car's Cd player won't play mp3s, you should use the mp3 files to burn an audio Cd. You can do this using Windows Media player on your computer or pretty much any free audio player software out there.

You should also be able to use your burner software to burn an audio Cd using mp3s as your source. Just select the option to burn a music Cd and browse to the folder where the songs are located.

  7. .rar files

    are zipped files, I think.

So you'll have to extract them

    using a different program : D
