I just went down to rent a game, but they said I needed a credit card to back up the account. I have my dad's credit card can I just go down there and tell them to put this on the account or do I need him to go with me?

They'll want him to go with you for the first time. When you're both there, he can authorize you on the account to rent movies and games on your own for the future.
