Quick question about tire sizes!!!?

I have a set of BFGoodwrench All Terrain K/O tires sized at LT315/70R17 and I was needing to replace them. I wanted to get Maxxis Buckshot Mudders, but the only size I can find close is LT315/75R16, but I'm not sure if that will work or not. Any input on where I might find the correct size to replace my worn out tires with some Maxxis Buckshots?

  1. No, it will not work because you have a 17 inch wheel and 16's won't work!

Can you find a place where you can special order them on the internet? If not I would try a different mud tire. I personally like BF Goodwrench MT's but that may not be aggressive enough for ya.Super Swamper LTBs are a cool looking tire or Boggers...

  2. If I'm remembering right you need to know the widths of the two tires as well. Then mulitply the width by the aspect ratio (the 70 and 75) to get the tire height. If the two heights are the same then you shouldn't have serious handling problems or an out of whack speedo/odometer.

Of course you will have to pop for new rims all around too, as the poster above noted the tire diameters are different.

Best advice is talk to a tire professional.
