  1. My timetable came up in english...see here:

    http://www35.ratp.info/Pivi/piviweb.php?...

From Glaciere to Palais-Royal (Musee du Louvre)

You have to get the Metro at Glaciere (Nation line) to Place d'Italie. Change at Place d'Italie (La Courneuve-8-Mai-1945

line) to Palais-Royal (Musee du Louvre).

The entire journey should take approximately 30 minutes.

All the best and bon voyage!!! :-)

  2. I tried to do the same thing you described...no wonder you're confused!  The small section at the top is the only thing that relates to your inquiry.  It doesn't give you a route, just tells you that it will take 33 minutes to get from Glaciere to Palais Royal-Musee du Louvre.

From Glaciere, you would take Ligne 6 direction Nation to station Place d'Italie.  Then you would transfer to ligne 7 direction La Corneuve.

I highly recommend going back to the ratp.fr website and downloading the metro map if you haven't already done so.  It is available by clicking on Finding your way, then clicking on Metro map.  I still have my map from my first Paris trip four years ago, and I've used it on all four trips.

Here's a tip:  If you're staying more towards Boulevard Arago, like in Hotel Magendie for example, you can simply walk along Arago toward the Gobelins metro station.  It is on ligne 7, so you eliminate having to go through Place d'Italie.
