Quick-time video on Imac not working!?

Question

I put a Quick-time video from my friends computer onto the storage compartment of my Ipod, but when i tried to play it on my computer it popped up on quick-time as a sound file, though even this did not play. Our Imac's are identical models with exactly the same programs, so i have no idea why it's not working. Any suggestions?

That is because your iPod only sees it as a data file. if you want to watch it on your iPod put it back on your iMac then import the file into iTunes then make sure it is selected to sync with your iPod> then click sync then watch when done. It will show up under Movies.
