What is a quick way to take off atleast .5 of a second from my 40 yard dash in one summer?any specific exercises?and my 40 time at the moment is only 5.9

  1. im 5"9 210 and i run the 40 in 5'5 do squats you will explode of the line and gain speed quickly.


  2. if your body use to running 5 yard then you move up to 10 yards then you move to 15 then to 20 then to 25 then to 30 then to 35 then to 40

  3. You only need to do two things. Get very strong and practice short sprints at your top speed. Research proves the fastest runners are those that don't collapse at the knee/ankle/hip at ground contact. Do dead lifts on balls of feet and hamstring curls a few times a week mixed in with your sprint practice. Once you are strong enough try altitude drops where you jump off a chair landing on balls of feet without bending at the ankle/knee.
