Ok,Theres this pony at our barn and she had a baby. Well, the board at our barn is $400 a month, which is REALLY expensive (if you hadnt noticed). Right now, the mom and baby count as one horse. but when the baby is old enough to leave its mom, the two horses will count as two, not one. so the board will go up to $800 a month. the owners of this pony and baby cannot afford this, and will be giving the baby away when its old enough. me and my friend are going to try and get the baby, but we need a quick way to get $400 a month. remember, there are two people so we can both try to get like, $200 a month and that would be fine. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

  1. i think its cool that you are trying to do this

maybe you could convince the owner to put the mother out for lease? that way, someone would be able to help pay for the pony and might lessen the costs

  2. yr board is only 400$?? Wow mine is 800 a month for an indoor stall! : ) ANyways, you could do a lot

    wash horses

    ride horses

    clean up

    and be creative! Good luck

  3. u cant get the baby horse. sorry u are too young to relize this but along with board u need food ALOT of food. hay. halters. a farrier. vet checks. and for the next 2 years u will need to pay a trainer to train your horse. u cant do it alone. u will eventually as the pony gets older need a professional to float its teeth. a farrier every 6 weeks. plus tack wich will cost u at least a thousand dollars. u will need grooming supplies. all in all. that pony will cost u at least 10,000 to 12,000 a year to take care of. u cant do it if u cant even pay for board easily.

sorry. but unless ur going to starve the pony u cant have him

it dosent matter that u have saved up for a long time. u will run out of money eventually. and what does your mom and dad say about this?? will they even let u? r they going to help you pay?  if not, then u probably wont get the pony. its just not a good idea. u arnt looking at the big picture.YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY MORE THEN JUST BOARD FOR YOUR PONY!!! IF U CANT EVEN PAY FOR BOARD HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO PAY FOR EVEYTHING ELSE?? IT WILL COST U THOUSANDS.  u  wont be able to ride the pony either. so it would be a waist! u are going to be too big. DONT DO IT.

  4. okay...say you raise the $400 for the first month board..what are you going to do to pay for the boarding after that...I think it would be better to let someone get the baby that can actually afford it. There is more to owning a foal than just boarding. Not trying to be mean just honest.

  5. i would do a kick off garage sale and try to get some money saved up and then babysitt at leat once a week

  6. First of all $400 is not expensive for boarding a horse. All of the barns in the are that I am in charge $450 normally not including stall cleaning and extra hay, etc. Try and get a job at the barn you can see if you can work the board of by opening or closing or doing stalls.

  7. You should check the website on my profile page. it has tons of information on how to earn some money online by doing survey sites, writing review and getting paid for them, taking photographs and selling them to companies or selling stuff online. All the sites are free to join and you never have to give out any credit/debit card information. There are also pictures of checks on the site as well. If you don't want to earn money online, try mowing lawns, collecting cans, walking dogs, and doing chores. Good luck on trying to find some money. Hope this helped.

  8. Hello,

You are very ambitious!  You and your friend will be REALLY busy making the $400 a month board and won't have too much extra time to spend with the foal.

GOOD luck and don't forget to add in the money for the farrier, and shots, and emergency fund for sickness too....
