  1. Play books help... also pay attention as best u can to what the coaches are saying and asking questions if u don't understand helps... also reveiwing the play book @ home and having family or friends quiz u on what u should b doing on each play hlps

  2. every word or letter in the play name tells someone what to do.  Just go to Borders and get a Football for Dummies if it is too challenging, thats what my coach suggested.

  3. People learn in different ways.  Some learn best by seeing it  writen out on a white board or in a playbook.  Some learn best from running through the plays on the practice feild.  But what I find works best for my players is if they draw the plays up themselves.  I have been coaching Highschool ball for 11 years and I always make it a point to hand out paper and have the players sketch the plays as I draw them on the white board.

Learn the stuff you have to know first.  For Example if your a WR or a Wing Learn Your formations, and routes first and for most.  If your a running back pay more attention to the hole numbering system and which play is which.

I suggest writing out the plays on your own.  Write them down over and over til you can't get them wrong.  Good luck this season.

  4. playing madden or college football and seeing it.

Trips means 3, so 3 wideouts.

I formation is that there is a fullback and tailback behind eachother like an I.

Pro formation is two backs side by side.

A pitch is usually something quick to the back where a sweep you'll have a blocking back.

  5. Study the playbook and pay very close attention to your coaches and asking questions. Also make sure you go over them in practice 2
