Quickly pruning fingers in pool

Question

when my boyfriend gets in the pool his fingers get extremely pruned in only 20 minutes, where as mine wont get extremely pruned for like an hour. why does he get pruned so quickly???

it has to do with a number of things

amount of oil on skin - some people produce more than others

oil is hydrophobic meaning it wants to stay away from water, the water wont go in as much if you have more oil on the skin

osmosis  ..salt content goes from high to low...when you get in a pool the salt comes out and your skin shrivels up cause it's losing some volume

there are probably more things to consider as well

you probably wear some lotion or something which acts as another barrier

but it's really not too much to be conserned about
