Question:

Quiet, Romantic Restuarant?

Can anyone recommend a quiet, romantic restuarant? My sweetheart has asked me to pick a place for my birthday. Unfortunately I hardly venture further than the local applebee's, olive garden, or other chain restuarant. Any ideas? It could be from Tacoma to Seattle, with easy access to I-5.

Thanks!

  1. I highly recommend Main Event Pizza. The chicken is delicous.

  2. If you are prepared to spend at least $100.00, go to Shuckers at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle.

  3. i would say the melting pot it is to die for. you both will love it or try the keg.

  4. The (Seafood optional) Alki Homestead Restaurant is a place you take your parents and grandparents for a throw-back when dining out was "fancy"...

Best to call ahead for reservations!

Visit the printer friendly site below for details.

  5. My husband took me to the Space Needle for our anniversary one year.  I enjoyed it so much I went a few times mores before we moved out of the area.  I know that it can be a little touristy.  However, take the latest reservation time slot you can, and it will be a wonderful experience.  We went and saw an early movie (can't remember where), went shopping in downtown, and then went for a late night dinner at the Space Needle.  It is very quiet at that time, and the views are beautiful.

  7. One of my favorite romantic restaurants is Crush. It has fresh seasonal, local organic food. Chef Jason Wilson is behind every dish!

Lombardi's Italian is another favorite. It has fresh food. Everything from house made cheese, to garlic roasted chicken to tasty pasta dishes. The restaurant is very personal with excellent service. www.lombardiscucina.com

  8. I recommend red lobster because its romantic with lobster and sea food and besides, ur boyfriend pays, not you.

  9. The Melting Pot is fun.  Its a fondue restaurant.  Go if you love melty cheese and chocolate!  I know there is one in Bellevue and one in Seattle.  If you specify type of cuisine and price range I could give you some other choices

There are the usual pricey ones like Salty's on Alki, The Georgian, Chandlers, Ray's Boathouse and the like.

Then there are steak houses like the Metropolitan, Ruth's Chris, and Daniel's Broiler

Then you got your bistro's like Il Bistro, Chez Shea, and Cascadia

There there is seafood places like Ponti Seafood grill, Yarrow Bay Grill, and Anthony's at Pier 66

Then there is ethnic places like Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant (a great experience)

I'd recommend checking out seattle.citysearch.com and looking at the restaurant's by cuisine and location and then check the reviews.  Its a great resource and you can search by terms like "romantic"

    Have Fun

  10. Palisades.  My husband and I can easily spend 2 hours making our way through dinner without ever noticing anyone else around us.  Dress up a little, and have fun!

  11. The melting pot is great! I would go to Palisade. It's amazing there and possibly melting pot for dessert.

  12. For something beautiful, unique, intimate and unforgettable, try Serafina in Eastlake. You'll love it.
