Quiet Oasis secures victory in the Royal Heroine Mile Stakes at Belmont Park
The Ben Cecil trained, Quiet Oasis, was the one who emerged triumphant from the Grade 2, $150,000, Royal Heroine Mile Stakes at Belmont Park on 7th July, 2012, where she was guided to victory over a distance of one mile by rider,
Mario Gutierrez.
The daughter of Oasis Dream, out of mare Silent Heir, completed her third victory on turf in 1 minute and 35.06 seconds, and defeated the Jeff Bonde trained runner, Mega Dream, by a small margin of a head.

Briecat - the pace-setter, finished in third place, whereas the fourth place was secured by Nereid.
Things did not go well for the race favourite, All Star Heart, who entered with an 8 to 5 winning chance, but couldn’t keep with the level of competition and finished in last place.
The Irish bred filly notched her first graded victory in the Grade 3 Wilshire Handicap on 29th April, 2012, at the Betfair Hollywood Park, where she completed the mile distance in 1 minute and 34.63 seconds.
Jockey Mario Gutierrez expressed some concerns about the temperament of the J. Paul Reddam owned runner, who seemed to struggle in her initial starts. This was the jockey’s third ride on the four-year-old.
The rider commented on her practice routine and stated:
"I've been working her in the mornings, and I knew she was really feeling good for this race," Gutierrez also told the media that: "She's been settling down really nicely in her works. I thought if she could settle like that in the afternoon, nobody
could beat her."
Owner Paul Reddam also told the media that:
"We bought her from our trainer (Meehan) in England and she's stretched out like a pro."
The owner further added:  "The other difference is that now she's able to relax more and settle.  When she first got here, she was very, very keen and would kind of take herself out of the race.  She's like a different racehorse now and I would give
full credit to Ben and his team."
With this victory, Quiet Oasis earned the prize of $90,000, and now has collective earnings of $262,379.
