Quinceanera help?!(big party and i dont know what to do!)

Question

well, im gonna have a quinceanera...but would it be kinda stupid to have one?because my grandparents are from spain and thats about as close as it gets...but whatever..im still set on this party.but i am SO stuck!i still have alot of time left because it will be next year, but i have to book the place and the music and the food and ughh...everything!but i have no idea what to do...since my birthday is really close to halloween (im not doing a halloween theme because itd be kinda wierd cuz some people dont celebrate it in my family or friends) i was thinking of this whole "autumn" theme but would that be dumb?help?!!okay..what im asking is WHAT THEME? and for those of you who have had one, whats it like?what did you do?also, if you can give me the links to some places where they sell dresses thatd be great..im just kinda lost on it all...

well i had my quincenera 3 years ago.

but i had a madrinas and padrinos for almost everything (food, tiara, dress, dj, limo, ect.).

i didnt really have a specific theme.

all the decorations at the hall just matched my dress.

and i dont know if you're going to have damas and chambelanes (you dont really need 7 of each or have them at all). But if you do try to get an idea of who you would want to ask. And an idea of who you would want as your Chambelan (your escort).

Find a place to have it that is not too far because then if alot of people you know live by you then not many of them will go if it's too far.

And the dress can be anyway you want (I've seen some girls have it like Belle's dress from beauty and the beast or like cinderella or have those big antique dresses) I myself had a simple pink and white dress.

Even though it's a year away its a good idea to just start thinking about things you'd like to have.

Just remember its your day and have it anyway you want.

You dont really have to theme it.

but some themes you could use could be princess themed, dance club themed, luau themed, or just any color you want themed.

do a color theme. if you want Autumn. do like orange brown and silver or something.

i would do like a color theme like gold, silver, pink, black, white or whatever and then everyone has to wear that color and all the decorations are that color.  as for dresses i would check local boutiques, Saks, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, or Bergdorf Goodman. good luck and if you need any help i love planning parties and usually have some good ideas you can contact via email
