Quinton Jackson: UFC did not take care of me well and respect is all I care about - UFC news
Quinton Jackson is under a lot of stress nowadays because of Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) non serious attitude towards him, the reason why he recently bashed the organisation and said that they have not promoted him duly adding that respect is
more precious to him than money.
Jackson, who is widely known for his powerful and thunderous body slams, is ranked alongside the ace mixed martial artists of UFC. Quinton is one of those lucky brawlers who are famous not only in their home country but are praised for the talent even in
other nations such as Japan where Quinton is known as a legend.
Quinton reached at the pinnacle of his career when he fought in Japanese mixed martial art promotion ‘Pride FC’. The 33-year-old light heavyweight has been in a total 42 bouts and came out victorious in 32.
Jackson is denoted as the most lethal knockout specialist in the whole of UFC. Infamous as the ‘Rampage’, Quinton’s game plan involves charging the opponent brutally leaving him no choice but to either submit or lose his senses.
Quinton recently fought Ryan Bader with an injury in his left knee. The former light heavyweight champion lost the bout via unanimous decision and later on admitted that his injured left knee halted him from performing well. After a few days, Quinton revealed
that he had undergone Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) in order to normalise his testosterone levels.
The matter went unheard and did not create any substantial shockwaves in the media. The reason for that, might possibly, was Quinton’s stern relationship with UFC. Jackson revealed that he is fed up of the non seriousness exhibited by UFC management adding
that he has not been given due respect.
Quinton was of the view that UFC is not throwing him against genuine brawlers who can challenge him in the ring adding that the promotion should have been a bit careful in manipulating him since he is a product that should be promoted well.
The heavy pounder commented, “I’ve been upset with the UFC and the opponents they've been giving me. I think Joe Silva needs to be shot in the face. I'm sorry, but if you got a fighter like me who likes to go out and put on fights, why you giving me wrestlers
who are gonna take me down and hump me?”
The knockout specialist complained and said, “When you get a fighter like me, that you can promote all around, like, I can make people laugh and stuff like that, you can promote that guy. You don’t try to bring him down or let the fans look at him a different
way -- you promote that guy.”
Quinton’s tone and his grievances have finally caught media’s eye and critics are predicting that the heavyweight brawler is signalling to adios UFC and join hands with Pride once again.
