Jackson was trying to be humorous, the UFC fighter had something else in mind.
After being bashed widely for the video (which many think was nothing near good humour), Jackson has come out revealing his motives behind it.
“The reason why it wasn't funny is because the guy released it too soon,” said Jackson in an interview with Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting.
Quinton further revealed that his main motive behind the video was to get kicked by the UFC president. However, since it did not happen, Jackson calls it a failed attempt!
“I was kind of like, I had to put it out there, the timing, I was trying to get kicked out of the UFC. I have to keep it real. I was trying. They (UFC) were smart. They knew it, they saw right through it,” he added.
Quinton also revealed that he wanted to do something like Dave Chappelle, as he loved the comedian who was shot to death.
“It was supposed to be like Dave Chappelle type of stuff. I was supposed to do a series of videos and I was going to be like Dave Chappelle. I like and I wanted to be like Dave Chappelle. The guy liked the video so much he put it on an MMA website, I don't
understand,” he added.
He was asked if he regrets putting out the video and, to everyone’s surprise, he does! According to Quinton Jackson, since the video did not do its job, he indeed regrets putting it up.
Quinton Jackson is a worldwide known UFC fighter and actor. His performance in the movie ‘The A-Team’ was appreciated worldwide. Everyone knows he is a multi-talented fighter but why would he want to be kicked out? Maybe because he is not happy with the
way things are working out for him in MMA or maybe because he has found solace in acting, like many other former wrestlers and MMA fighters.
