Quixote confident to win Bazuka Handicap
The Clive Brittain trained chestnut gelding, Quixote, has gained a lot of confidence from his last five outstanding performances, and he is all ready to seal a sterling success in the Bazuka Handicap that will be held at Yarmouth racecourse on Tuesday, July
17. The Class 5 contest over 1 mile, 6 furlongs and 17 yards is scheduled to start at 8:50 (GMT).
From November 2011 to April 2012, the three-year-old veteran horse performed very well in seven straight races on standard tracks. Now, he is likely to show the same class in his first ever outing on a soft course where he will face half a dozen rivals.
Since the dawn of 2012, the talented son of Singspiel out of Rainbow Queen has been enjoying great form. On January 16, he elegantly finished as a runner-up in the Play DA Vinci Diamonds At Bluesq.Com/Games Handicap at Wolverhampton.
The C. E. Brittain-owned gelding marvellously accomplished a tremendous triumph in the Breathe Spa At Lingfield Marriott Handicap on March 5.
He again grabbed a second position at Southwell. The 12-race experienced sprinter finished 5th in each of the last two starts of his career----the last race took place at the same venue where he will show his guts today.
Thus, Quixote has up to 90 percent chances to bring home the ace title of the Bazuka Handicap along with the prize money worth £2,264.
However, Lyric Poet will give him enough tough time in the race. The Anthony Carson trained bay and brown gelding gained reasonable confidence by finishing 3rd in his last outing at Yarmouth. That was the Injured Jockeys Fund Handicap, held on
June 28.
Prior to this, the son of Distorted Humor out of Baltic Nations had gained a runner-u position in Les *Ranter* Brookes 70th Birthday Celebration Handicap at Wolverhampton on January 23.
As a whole, the veteran horse has won 2 of his total 18 starts so far. He will show enough resistance against Quixote, but he does not have more than 70 percent chances to thrive.
Let us move to Yarmouth to enjoy the exciting action. Good luck to all the contestants.
