  1. My wife and I were IBO's for about 3 years.  I loved the products, the business plan, and all the logic behind it.  Part of the things I didn't like was our monthly tools.  Some cd's got to be redundant and after a few months of $50 for the same thing, we stopped.  We then lost the support of our upline, who all this time said we were as close as family.  Plus the cost of the conferences was high. Part of the training was practicing lines for potential customers, which I didn't like.  If the plan and products are that good...(which I thought they were) they would sell themselves.  Not having to practice lines and acting.  Plus, people are always on guard, to not get scammed.  If you'd like more info...email me at alacombe91@comcast.net.

  2. I did it 10 years ago and to me it is just like Avon or Mary Kay. You bug your friends to buy from you and at first they do it because they are your friend but then they start getting annoyed, Especially with Wal-Mart your prices can not compete and their products are not better than what you can find in the store, if they were don't you think it would be sold in stores to sell more?Hey they hype you up and make you feel good but it is just a mask.I went to a seminar in Tampa years ago and it was awesome. They get you all excited and feeling like you can do anything then a day later you are stuck going door to door and business to bussiness for a bunch of nos.You are not going to get rich quick, maybe do it as a supplement and if it works for you then quit a real job

  3. Is it a legit business opportunity?  Yes.

Will you make any money at it?  No, probably not.

The Quixtar "Diamonds" (top distibutors) have a dirty little secret that they don't want you to know.  Most (75%-90%) of their income comes from selling "tools".  Tools are the training materials and seminars.  You will be told that these tools are optional but you will be highly encouraged to purchase the items and attend the seminars.

Someone I know has spent almost $50,000 on their Quixtar business over the past 7 or 8 years.  They have grossed about $8000 in commissions.  So, yes, they have lost about $42,000 since 2001 or so.   The funny thing is, they still think that Quixtar will make them rich when, in reality, they are heading towards bankruptcy.

  4. It's legit, but you won't make a lot of money from it.
