Management has different rolls and styles. Most of us complain that our managers at work are not that good.

What do you expect from a manger? Who is the good manager in your point of view?

  1. I think the good manger is the person that can control the business he is managing and he can make the employees under him work as best as they can...

  3. A good manager is someone who has the best interests of his company & his employees at heart. They are someone who does not abuse their power, but makes things work well.

    An example of a bad manager is my last boss, who used to shout at people, & even throw things in a tantrum. She would play mind games with people & make them feel worthless.

    A good example, is a manager from my past who commanded such respect, without ever having to shout at anyone. He would make sure the job was done, but spoke to people respectfully & would not hold grudges, he was always strait with you, so you always worked well for him. He led by example, & we all followed happily.

  4. I expect him to be in field and following up his employees with a friendly relation

    Be firm in face of any negligence or failing to fulfill duties out of laziness, etc.  

  5. What do you expect from a manger? You do know that manger means box, right? The only thing I expect from a manger is to contain items.

  8. A good manager to me is the one who knows how to communicate and deal with people working with him without making troubles or miss-treating them. He knows how to use their knowledge and efforts in the right way to serve the work field/place.

    He tries to hear my ideas and respects it. He respects me and other workers and never underestimate any idea or worker.

    Most importantly, he must treat all workers the same and give them their rights of getting a promotion, raise and so on. He must also be kind and decent.
