From adding to the government's debt by sending out millions (or billions) of dollars to the people, which only amounts to a small percentage per family, to sending out too much per family to sending out too little per family to sending out nothing to a family, have there ever been any "stimulus" plans as terrible as this one?

If that was stimulus, we are in trouble. Stimulus will come in the form of tax cuts, the end of the war in Iraq and a stop to foolish government spending.

Think about who is getting stimulated for a minute.

Almost all of the money went to the richest 10% of the people in the country and the rest went to people who pay their bills to the richest 10% of the people in the country.

You got $300 to cover the hike in gas prices.

The $300 one in 2002 was not spectacular either.  People fail to realize that those 'stimulus checks' are nothing more than a rebate on future taxes owed and are not a tax cut.

So if you normally get a tax refund of $500 and you got a $600 stimulus check, you will owe Uncle Sam $100 on tax day, April 15, 2009.

Politicians bet on most Americans being morons, and sadly they are generally right.

Yeah, instead of giving you some of your money back, the government should just stop taking so much of your money in the first place.

The Obama stimulus package includes "hope for change" and taxing the economy into prosperity. Now that has meaning.

The IRS doesn't create economic plans.  They just mail the checks or collect the taxes.
