Can someone explain what this really means? I still dont get it :S

  1. I believe that the saying is:

    "The more things change the more they stay the same."

    It says that, although things change, basically things stay the same, particularly human nature.  For example, people talk about the way young people misbehave and how terrible that is.  You can read quotes from ancient times where people said the same thing about the youth of their day.  

    My grandmother is rather afraid of using a computer.  If she'd been born 100 years ago, she would likely have been very wary of the telephone.  The technology is a lot different, but the reaction to something new is the same.

    People often use this saying when they realize that beneath surface differences something is still the same, very familiar.
