Quotations in a story?

When you start a new paragraph with a person talking, do you have to have a comma instead of a period? Like...

"Hey, I'm bored." Mark said.

Or...

'Hey, I'm bored," Mark said.

  1. no it will be a comma if u put Mark said But if u delete that then its a full stop. Good luck.


  2. The second one.. Otherwise "Mark Said" is an incomplete sentence.
