Okay so I'm doing a report on Zimbabwe and for my poster

I found a quote for their government and it says, "Be just and fear not," and I'm not exactly sure what it means. Can someone help me?

  1. use fair and good judgment and don't worry about the consequences because you were fair and honest with your judgment

  2. practice justice and give just judgments in your daily life and do not fear those who would persecute you (b/c of justice)

idk, i just took a stab at it..sounds good though

    :)

  3. Act now, think later - Fear not, politicians. That elusive feel-good factor can be created in an instant. Just appeal to our primal instincts.

Also:  Motto 'BE JUST AND FEAR NOT'.

Granted 7th July 1924 CARLISLE CITY COUNCIL

The motto appears beneath the arms and comes from Wolsey's speech to Cromwell in Shakespeare's Henry VIII and was adopted by the city about 1850.

“Cromwell, I did not think to shed a tear

    In all my miseries; .  .  .  .

.  .  .  Be just, and fear not:

Let all the ends thou aim’st at be thy country’s,

    Thy God’s, and truth’s.” [a]

There are many instances in history where you will find this quote from biblical times, Islam, Roman Times Crusades...

Sometimes one cannot be fair in a decision one has to make, when this happens one must be just and fear not in the lord.

    Hope this helps:
