  1. Not always, it depends on ones needs at a given time, and prevelant responsibilities.

  2. That is so true!! It always seems that no matter how close you think you are to getting everything in your life caught up and straightened out, something else happens that pushes everything back a little. I have never seen this quote before, but I love it!! Unfortunately, this PERFECTLY describes my life right now. At least financially.

  3. keeps me thinking

  4. Exactly what is happening now.

  5. The Nay Sayers will say it's gloom and doom, but it's the truth isn't it! It really sounds like the political scene doesn't it? Every time you seem to get ahead a little bit, the prices go up! Gas, food, taxes increase, the teachers need more, etc.

  6. I don't like it, sounds too pessimistic for me. I think we can accomplish a great financial freedom, just takes a little bit of wise investing

  7. Isn't That The Truth.....lol....!!

  8. After capably serving as Secretary of Commerce under Presidents Harding and Coolidge, President Hoover became the Republican Presidential nominee in 1928. He said then:

"We in America today are nearer to the final triumph over poverty than ever before in the history of any land."

His election seemed to ensure prosperity. Yet within months the stock market crashed, and the Nation spiraled downward into depression.

President Hoover became the scapegoat for the depression and was badly defeated in 1932. In the 1930's he became a powerful critic of the New Deal, warning against tendencies toward statism.

That said he was particular to the economy and the needs and wants of the American people.

Just when we (the American people) get to the point we can make ends meet - somebody moves the ends.

I agree - a favorite quote of mine too.
