What do you think the quote 'To move on with the future, you must let go of the past' means in your own words? I need some references for a manuscript I am writing. Thnx a mil!

  1. When the times get tough, you've got to move on and get over the past. You've got to go on and let it go. If you wanna get to tomorrow you gotta let go of yesterday. I think it means to move on with your life and forget the past.

    the past is done. it's unchangeable so you have to move on. in order to move on, you have to let go of what your past. no matter what happened in your past, whether it's good or bad, is pver. There's no going back and changing it; whatever happens happens. If you never let go of your past and always think about it, you will never be able to move on to the future. You will get caught up in your thoughts and that could possibly interfere with future relationships, jobs or family. so don't let the sadness of your past ruin the happiness of your future.
