what is your perception on the meaning of this quote? is it a good quote? and does anyone know who said it?

I absolutely love this quote! It's by Tupac Shakur & I think

it's about persevering through the dark and the painful days  of life because the brighter, joyful days will outshine and outnumber them..........

This is the whole quote:

"I know it seems hard sometimes, but remember one thing.

For every dark night, there's a bright day after that.

So no matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep ya head up.... and handle it.”

He also said:
