  1. I'm not sure exactly what your paper is asking you to do, but I'll try my best to provide an answer given your question.

Shakespeare has some pretty good plays that contain themes relevant to what you are saying.  Have you ever read Hamlet, for instance?  If you haven't--Hamlet, the main character, attempts to control his fate but ultimately ends up sabotaging himself.

"His madness is poor Hamlet's enemy..."

Hope this helps--if it doesn't, try going to sparknotes.

  2. in old greek mythology they used to believe that there were gods who controled your destiny and how long you lived, etc

and there is no way to change your destiny...your story was already written before you were born

free will is only going to lead you back to your destiny...you cant escape it

one would try to escape their destiny for a better life or something they want

for example ...i am really skinny

and its in my genes but im trying to gain weight

but i really cant gain any weight no matter what i eat

sorry i know thats a bad example

i just cant think of an example right now

if you ever read the Odyssey, odysseus tried to escape his destiny which was to stay away from his home for 20 years

but his destiny also said that he will eventually come back home

and no matter what obstacles he went through...he remained alive and made it back home

    i hope this helps :]

  3. well, heres one:

Why live when you can die and why die when you can live.
