Qustion about a lighting hitting a truck?

How would you know if your truck got hit by lighting bolt during a thunderstorm? Would it make a sound or just the thunder?

  1. Apparently, a thin layer of soot forms on the window. That would be a sure sign that you got hit.


  2. If you were driving your truck, and lightning suddenly hit it, then you would know in more ways than one. There is tremendous heat and electric current being added to the truck. Lightning will cover a portion of the truck with a black coating. The sound of thunder with lightning striking that close would really hurt your ears. The truck would be lucky to still operate with thousands of Amperes of electric current traveling through it.
