R Humans the highest species on the planet and why in your opinion?

Judging by some answers, I can see why so many school aged children act like animals...

They have not been taught the truth about God's plan and the purpose for HIS CREATION....

God saw it was good....And so have generations that have gone before us....

YES!! We are the highest! We are, because we are God's creation made in his image, and what separates us from animals is "MORALS" Animals don't have a sense of morals. This, is what makes us superior!

Certainly not our unbalanced patriarchal society.  It is DOOMED!  So are bees - too delicate.  I agree with the previous poster, I think cockroaches will be the next ruler of the ruins - left by man.

Humans have screwed the environment , created poverty , made weapons to blow others up with , polluted the seas , and if animals had a religion man would be cast as the Devil. Most animals  , if not all , have a better code of conduct than us.

The concept "highest" should be defined.  If, you mean which species has the most complex central nervous system and capacity for problem-solving and memory, one might assume that humans hold that top position.  But, consider viral species. They inject a sample of their RNA into the cell of its host, mingle with the host's RNA and lift back out of the cell with a perfect copy of the host's RNA added on to it's own RNA. Then, it replicates with it's RNA now containing the RNA sample from the host. Again and again it adds RNA samples of different species and different humans, for example as in the case of influenza.  Now, if humans maintain a collected memory in their RNA, in actuality, some viral entities may hold the memories of millions of species and people.  What they're doing with all that collected memory is another story.

And, if you mean which species is highest based on it's ability to most effectively remove itself from the food chain, as humans did, again, viral species essentially call the shots on this planet in that regard.

As for highest species based on comparability to the most likely to not become extinct, again, viruses win that contest hands down.
