Sadly, one of New Zealand's great cricketers has passed away way too young (he was only 67).

Question: Does anyone have any anecdotes involving Bob that they have heard that they would like to share?

  1. R.I.P

  2. I once heard a radio commentator, (john Arlott perhaps?) as describing Cunis as being neither one thing or another!! ( a cheeky play on his name)

  3. Bob Cunis bowled Geoffrey Boycott in both the innings of the only test match of the 1969 ENG v NZL series. In the match, he took 5 wickets including those of John Edrcih, Alan Ward and Mike Denness. This was perhaps the best match of Bob.

  4. I am ashamed to admit I don't remember him, but I am sorry to hear of his passing.

  5. Sad news.

RIP Bob Cunis! He was a great cricketer for NZ and represented his team really proudly. Its a sad day for cricket and he died only 67 years young.

Sadly, i don't have any anecdotes to share.
