India’s talented player R. M. V. Gurusaidutt showed a scintillating performance and secured his place in Men’s Singles quarter-final after showing a severe treatment to the higher ranked Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka of Indonesia in round-of-16 clash at Kumpoo

The 12th seeded Gurusaidutt, who remained in staggering form throughout the tournament, maintained his positive play in the event and remained successful in winning the match in 40 minutes in a dominating fashion.
Indian shuttler displayed his spirited approach in the arena as he played attacking badminton and easily registered a superb win over his Indonesian challenger in straight sets with a superb margin on the score board.
On the contrary, the seventh seeded Rumbaka was shocked with the incredible play of his Indian opponent and remained unable to survive in the arena. He lost the match without even posing a meagre threat to his opponent.
Gurusaidutt performed extremely well from the starting points of first set as he played with phenomenal speed and grabbed the control.
Indian player proved that he has attained top quality skills on court by playing with tremendous speed and precision and eventually took a strong position in the arena.
Gurusaidutt did not show any sign of confusion as he remained in complete command of rallies until the one-minute interval.
The confused Rumbaka, on the other hand, failed to play positive game after the one-minute interval as he lost his focus on court and also committed many errors.
However, Indian man did not slow down the pace of rallies at any stage and clinched the first game with a spectacular 21-13 margin on the board.
In the second game, the lower ranked Gurusaidutt did not lose his superiority over the pace of rallies and remained confident in the arena until the one-minute break.
After the mid-game interval, the in-form Indian shuttler became quick as he took the bird early and managed to grab the second game with a three-point margin of 21-18.
The incredible Gurusaidutt easily thrashed the Indonesian shuttler in straight sets with a superb 21-13 and 21-18 score on the board.
