R&P, worst band locations?

Question

I've noticed there are some places where the wave of music just didn't quite reach in the right way xD

In other words, what are some areas where you think some of the worst bands come from?

So much for being patriotic, but Ireland. Let's just keep in terms of rock here. I can think of three notable bands from here.

- U2

- Thin Lizzy

- Rory Gallagher [and I bet half of you don't even know who he is]

And that's really all I can think of - who are notable. They're all good bands [even though I hate U2] - but three?!?! Ireland is a tiny country & was a bit slow to catch up but come on! Aaargh.

Edit: Yeah I know, but I couldn't think of anything - I'll change my answer around - how's about - almost all other bands to come from Ireland are ****!

I live in New Jersey and our great state has give the music world Frank Sinatra ans Bruce Springsteen. Queen Latifah also comes from Jersey, so did the Four Seasons, and BonJovi.

Just because you know NOTHING about where I live does not give you the right to make fun of where I live. Crappy music is everywhere. Or do you think where you live is so special?

Often the good bands and the worst ones come from the same places.... I'm thinking of all the wannabe hipsters in London right now who all think they sound like The Libertines. Person who comes from Georgia, you also get the whole Elephant 6 thing in the 90s which was pretty awesome. You get a lot of awful pop music in Europe =[

U2 suck and the only decent bands are Primordial and Thin Lizzy.

You are probably right about New Jersey.  Luckily, my home state Georgia has done pretty good with what we have contributed.  Georgia has contributed...
