R&P: Do You Know Any Good Pop Punk Bands?

Question

Stuff that sounds like:

Bowling for Soup

Blink-182

Green Day

Bodyjar

That sort of thing.

If you're wondering why me (a metalhead) is asking this. Here is my reason:

I couldn't get in to the 'true' punk stuff, I didn't find it melodic, I found it sloppy and no fun to listen to. I need something catchy.

I am NOT looking for any of those "little-girl" pop punk bands. Stuff that teenagers and young adults would listen to.. not 7 year olds.

I thought people here hated pop punk. It's supposed to be one of the worst genres you can listen to or something. Lol. I never would have thought you would have liked it.

Um .... the only pop punk song I have in my library is a cover of that "Milkshake" song by Goodnight Nurse. It's actually really good! XD

The only pop punk band I like is The Pink Spiders.

They kind of have a lot of fangirls though and they're pretty popular in my area...that's probably cause we're near where they're from.

Paramore seems to be one of the more popular teenage bands nowadays. Personally, for that 'pop punk' taste, I like to go for

F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X by The Fall of Troy.

It's like Pop Punk gone a bit harder.

I'm not sure what bands are coming off it now, I used to listen to a ton of bands from it in the early to mid 90's.  Catchy as h**l bands.

I know what you mean about punk. I find it to be sloppy too :O

but I like a little bit of pop punk or pop rock. and yeah I love metal too.

*sigh* I can think of good pop rock bands but none necessarily like Blink 182 and Greenday. Oh, I know one. they aren't exactly poppy but they aren't like the other punk bands...I found them on myspace a while ago and they're great. They're name is Look What I Did
