R&P: Do you play Rock Band/Guitar Hero?

I play Rock Band. IMO, It destroys Gutiar Hero.

Rock Band is very awesome.  A lot of people say, "just go learn the real instruments!"  I have 2 things to say to them

1. I did learn them

2. Rock Band TEACHES you drums, you can become a real drummer from Rock Band.

Guitar Hero is harder than Rock Band but the Rock Band interface is much clearer and less distracting, also I love the Rock Band Fender guitar better then the Guitar Hero one.  

I play both and I like Rock Band more when hanging with friends, but guitar hero owns if I'm by myself.

no, i prefer my epiphone les paul standard.

but i played rock band at walmart once lol, it was pretty fun though (apparantly the biggest wal mart in north america, kinda weird how they'd put it in some random town in canada with a population of 40 something thousand, but i don't live there for the record)

i play both. its a fun game. people should stop being haters on these games. my fav song from the entire guitar hero series is Free Bird by Lynrd Skynrd. i play on ps2 :(

Nope, never. I probably would try it if I could, but I don't have a Wii or an Xbox360, or any of the those other things. I do play the real guitar though.

I like Guitar Hero I haven't played in like 2 months though. It's just sitting in my living room alone. I haven't tried Rock Band but I'll see if I can. I like GH I just don't like how people suddenly think they're special because they can beat "Through the Fire and Flames" in Expert. I think that's a bit low lifeish. (lol)

These two kids I babysit for have Rock Band.....so I play with them when I have to babysit......its fun, but some of the songs are laughable to even be on there....I mean Fall Out Boy and Flyleaf? come on.....they could have picked some better songs.....

I like rock band because it is easier than guitar hero. i prefer the guitar from rock band than the guitar hero guitar. I do like how rock band has the different instruments. I always like playing nirvana songs and foo fighters is always fun.

No!! I play real guitar. I tried to play Guitar Hero once and I couldn't. If you play real guitar prior to playing Guitar Hero, it's often very difficult because you are going from something pretty complex to something really simple. (Pushing buttons basically.) I prefer real guitar.

But rock band does sound fun, I've never played it.

I play Rockband. I sing and play the guitar at the same time. You can't do that in Guitar hero. :)

A real guitar is obviously much better but Rockband and Guitar hero comes a little closer to the real experience than Guitar Hero

(I do get frustrated, especially after guitar practice,  when I play those games because sometime the Notes and the beats don't really sync and I get confused, lol)

To Linda K: You don't have to be musically talent to play either. It does help though but sometimes it doesn't.

i've played all of them and i own them

i can play on hard and expert but people think i spend HOURS playing. honestly, i don't even play for an hour. it just came natural to me. the very first time i played the first Guitar Hero, i got bored with easy so i skipped medium mode and went straight to hard. i find the games boring now because everyone i know plays on easy. i want a challenge but i only have a PS2. there are never competitions i can attend and if there is some, they are at clubs or bars (hey i'm only a 14 year old girl!)
