  1. I hate many of them. I love few of them though :)

I also hate the way music being campained through super-s**y

videoclip. It's unfair. It make people did not judge the music properly.

  2. Wow, that chick a few posts above me is a snob. "Wahh, wahh. I turn on the radio and I hear Miley Cyrus, therefore ALL music now sucks! I turn on the TV and I see Soulja Boy and a bunch of scantily clad women, therefore ALL music videos now are degrading and worthless! I go to the mall and people are singing about how they kissed a girl and liked it, therefore ALL music now has no meaning!"

People have grown so lazy. They expect to be fed music with a silver spoon and when that doesn't happen, they get angry and proclaim everything to be c**p.

It is NOT hard to find good music out there. You don't have to dig to find it. It's .... right .... there. Jeez.

And don't limit yourself to artists/bands from the U.S. or U.K. or Canada or wherever it is that you live. There's an entire WORLD of music out there! Bands make their own amazing music, they write their own lyrics, they have a talented singer. Some of these people devote their entire LIVES to playing or singing! And then some pissy man or woman who wishes we could all be back in the 80s comes along, listens to the mainstream ****, and goes "Wow that sucks. Anyone in the music industry is a fraud and deserves to be shot!"

Jumping on the "All new music sucks!" bandwagon is JUST as bad as jumping on the "All old music sucks!" bandwagon. You think you're different and you have good taste because you refuse to listen to music produced after, oh, the 90s or so? You're not and you don't. You're just narrowminded and you limit yourself horribly.

  3. With a few exceptions I absolutely HATE it. Most of it is bland bland bland. It all looks and sounds exactly the same and anything that doesn't is usually a cover of something much older.

It's designed from the top down by corporate image merchants. The singer's can't sing, they mostly just shout or mutter into a microphone. The beat leads when it should just keep time and is much too fast, too fast in fact for a singer to actually keep up with. Half the time you can't understand the lyrics, and when you can they are often obscene or violent (Especially with Rap, and Hip hop). There are maybe a handful of lines in modern songs, and they are just repeated dover and over for 2-3 minutes. It's like listening to an entire track made up of the first two lines of the chorus. If there is some sort of message to the music it is usually idolizing people who sleep do drugs.

Melody and harmony also goes straight out the window.

And don't get me started on the videos. If I wanted to see half naked women writhing around and touching themselves I'd go to a cheap motel and turn on the pay per view.

You say that it can't be that awful, well I say that it is. There's pretty much no talent in most of what is called music these days. It's all artificial, created in a sound studio by a record executive and a nerd on a computer who thinks that looping a track that goes "thump thump thump" for 3 minutes is all that there is to a creating a beat, and that "stab da' ho, bang da' trick" are all of the lyrics that you need.

Record companies should be ashamed of the rubbish that they are producing.

  4. What do i hate. The Fact that many of the good bands today won't or can't have the success of band in the past. Not media darlings, not the right image, not cookie cutter music.  To much of the same c**p.

What do i love. The web. It has given the music fan in any corner of the world the ability to find and enjoy bands from anywhere.  Still alot of c**p but many great bands out there.

  5. That they are all in it for the money and not the music with a few exceptions. Making music should be from YOUR soul and not from Simon Cowells soul.

  6. Oh great, another question to let people complain about how much they hate todays music and how it isn't any good.
