R-Truth and Randy Orton defeat Wade Barrett and David Otunga in the main event on Raw
Randy Orton and R-Truth were set to take on Wade Barrett and David Otunga of Nexus in the main event of Raw this week. But wait, this wasn't all. The anonymous General Manager of Raw stated that there would be a special guest referee in the main event. And
it was none other than John Cena, who was recently forced to join the Nexus after he lost the match to Wade Barrett on the Pay-Per-View event h**l in a Cell.
John Cena has been struggling to fulfil the requirements of Nexus as he is now being forced to fight against his own allies. Cena was forced to watch Randy Orton get beaten up this past week on Raw and he was unable to compete in the “Team Raw Vs Team Smackdown”
match at Bragging right as a result of his team leader’s commands.
John Cena has been struggling to think of a way to end this nightmare he is going through because he is being forced to join that one team he has hated the most in his entire WWE career. John agreed to take on Wade Barrett a month ago at h**l in a Cell and
the stipulation was that if John Cena wins the match, Nexus would leave the WWE. However, if John lost the match, he would be forced to become a part of the Nexus.
Unfortunately, John Cena lost the match as a result of interference and it seems that he is stuck with Nexus for quite some time now.
This was a good opportunity for John Cena to take out his frustration out as he has been trying to let it all out since a while now and obviously, Cena was not going to let go of this opportunity.
The team of Wade Barrett and David Otunga was dominating the match while John Cena just stood there and watched the thrashing his team was giving R-Truth. Wade and David kept R-Truth in their corner and did not let him tag Randy Orton because they knew that
the Viper, Randy Orton was not going to go easy on any member of the Nexus after what they did to him last week.
It was quite clear that John Cena was being unbiased and was just doing the right thing by following the rules. The Nexus dominated almost the entire match until Wade Barrett made a tag to David Otunga. David came in the ring and immediately went for the
cover. R-Truth kicked out comfortably at 2 and it seemed that he still had some fight left in him.
David Otunga did not want to waste time and went for the sleeper hold. The crowd roared for R-Truth enabling R-Truth to counter the hold. R-Truth tried to take the upper hand as he ran towards the ropes and went for a flying body press but David saw it coming.
Otunga tried to counter it properly but was unable to take the advantage. Both of the wrestlers collided and then the race for making the tag began from the centre of the ring.
Randy Orton knew that his teammate was not going to make it so he came in the ring. John Cena went to stop him and during that split second, Nexus made a tag. Cena did not see it so he went to across the ring and forced Barrett to get back to his corner
outside the ring as he did not see the tag.
Randy Orton saw the opening and came in the ring behind Cena’s back. Otunga was already groggy and Orton availed the opportunity as he hit David Otunga with the RKO. R-Truth immediately went for the cover and there was no way David was going to kick out
of that one.
R-Truth and Randy Orton won the match and it seemed that Cena might be in trouble but there was nothing Wade Barrett could do as Cena followed his team leader’s orders and did the right thing.
It would be interesting to see what Nexus does next week though as John Cena is really getting on their nerves now.
