R/c truck traxxas rustler gear upgrades?

Hi, ive recently bought a Traxxas Rustler XL-5 with the 550 titan motor and xl5 speed control -yellow one btw-.

anyways after a few days of getting used to it im interested in putting these -optional- gears on that came with my r/c truck.

however i want to know which gears will give me a higher -TOP SPEED-.

also if it helps one of the two gears in the -optional kit- that came with the truck says -86T- on it. -86 tooth im guessing-

the optional gear that the traxxas rustler came with is a 28 tooth gear. the lower the gear number the faster the car is going to, however the 28 tooth gear is strictly for racing, and u want to avoid starting and stopping with a lower gear, as it will ruin the gear.

if you change the spur gear which is the 86tooth, the lower the # on the spur gear the more top end but how ever it will not be as quick but will have more top end. i've mess around with r/c cars for about 10 years i have a traxxas nitro jato, t-maxx and rustler.
