Most colon cleaning kits are natural remedies - Senna, Casagrada Segreda(spelling), fennel.

colon cleansing you mean like hydrotherapy with the water flush?

For a few days eat nothing but raw fruits and vegetables, and drink fresh juices and plenty of filtered water.  The increase in dietary fiber will sweep out your intestines quickly.  (Most people notice a difference in 24-36 hours.)

There are many cleansing products on the market.  One I like is from a company called Renew Life.  They make a light cleanse for first time cleansers that cause little or no discomfort.  Taken for 15 days, it’s short and does the trick, without doing anything invasive like colonic irrigation.  Or take fiber supplements and always drink loads of water.

Doing a psyllium cleanse is considered a non-invasive colon cleansing process.  You can buy psyllium husk at the health food store, Trader Joe's and as Metamucil at most drug stores.  Metamucil has flavorings and sweeteners.  I'd much rather use the stuff from Trader Joe's or the health food store which will be pure psyllium husk.  What you do is you mix a teaspoon in water or a glass of juice.  It absorbs the water and if left to sit long enough will form a gel inside the glass.  You want to drink it down as quickly as possible (doesn't taste great but doesn't taste horrible either) then wash it down with another glass of water or juice.  The gel-like mass will then sweep through your intestines and colon, attracting  debris and other yucky stuff from the intestinal walls and push it all out.  It's important to stay well hydrated when doing a psyllium cleanse; lots of people do it so it's perfectly safe.  You may want to drink a second glass later in the day, but probably not more than two glasses a day.  The package you buy may also have instructions on it.  At first your stools will be dark but as the colon is cleansed, they will turn lighter and lighter till they are well-formed, of medium brown color, with little odor.  This is when the cleanse is complete.  Afterwards you can drink a glass of psyllium husk once a day if you lack fiber in your diet or every now and then just for maintenance.  Hope this is what you were looking for and hope it wasn't too much information.  Heh.  Good luck!

P.S.  Products that contain senna act more like laxatives than as cleansers.  Senna can cause cramping and spasms.  Ouch!
