Gmail (from Google), Big String, and Bluebottle come to mind.  I'm sure if you googled "free e-mail" you would find hundreds.

yes there is excite, integra, and many more i suggest that you google free e-mail addresses you find alot more

Gmail! Google is actually good and safe. I've been using gmail for a long time now, probably around 4-5 years. And in that time, I don't remember getting much spam, probably only about 7 before! I'm serious :D So long as you sign in regularly (which most people do), and don't sign up for weird things, I doubt you'll get spam.

if you type in free email address @ yahoo.com you'll get a list for several places
