R4 Micro SD Card Not Recognized?

Question

I've recently purchased my first R4 and a few months later - the Card seems to be corrupted.

My Laptop won't recognize it when I insert the card in the USB, instead - it displays a message of ;; "Please insert a disc into Removable Disc (F:)"

Also when I turn on my DS while the R4 complete with the Card inside it needs the DS_MENU.DAT.

Some assistance would be greatly appreciated. ;]

all you have to do is update it http://r4ds.cn/download/r4_v1.18_kernel.... How to update R4?

After downloading and decompressing the new updated files, there will be one shell folder and two files _DS_MENU.DAT、 _DS_MSHL.NDS.Copy these files to the root directory of TF card to replace the former files

first go here http://www.r4ds.cn/download/r4_v1.18_ker...

then scroll down and find English Kernel v1.18: Download1 Download2(Worldwide)

and go press download 1

once its done drag and drop the 4 files into your chip

- _system_

- moonshl

- _DS_MENU.DAT

- _DS_MOONSHL.NDS

I think you have not installed drivers

Try to find your device in Device manager

if it is under Unknown device, Then you have drivers missing. If this is not the problem then check device & connection. If it wont work comp serviser
