R4 loading screen stuck?

I just got my R4 three weeks ago and for some reason today it got stuck at the loading screen.People tell me to reformat my micro sd card but i just wanted to know that if I reformat it to fat 32, will I lose my data of the games I downloaded and played so far?

You have to reformat it and if you do you will lose all your data including games but you can still back them up
