I was looking into becoming a corporate pilot or an airline pilot. This is one flight school I have been looking at. I was wondering if anybody is familiar with the school that can offer some advice(quality, cost, etc). Also, I have started hearing that right now is an absolute horrible time to try to become a pilot. Is this true??

  1. One good thing about RAA is that they have alot of partnerships with airlines, the airline will come and interview you at the facility. It's also a fasttrack program so you can complete your training in about 15 months. The phoenix campus was a little disorganized and didn't have the best equipment. The cost is what you would see at any flight school 60-80 thousand dollars. You used to be able to get your CRJ type rating for an extra 25 thousand but not sure if they still do that. Overall if you want to get your raitings fast not a bad program. If you drop out you will have a hard time getting your money back.

And. . . as far as it being a bad time to become a pilot alot of airlines have stopped hiring but in 15 months its hard to say. Eagle is always hiring : )! And minimums have dropped alot.
