no one can know for sure, 100% yet i think, until the moon shows. inshallah it will be on the 1st or 2nd of september.

here in SA the ramadaan is either on the 1st of sept or the 2nd but in the europe it&#039;s 2nd or 3rd. so it&#039;s different for different places.

it all depends upon the moon.

it is sep 1 or 2 (eventhough some south-asians would be starting on 3rd), depending on the moon sighting on aug 31st, and depending on if your area follows local or global sighting. please note that *calculations for moon sighting was prohibited by the prophet(peace and blessings be upon him), and ISNA is one of the followers of calculated sightings.

I think for most people it&#039;s september 1st but I think it depends on where you live.

It begins in the 9th month of the Islamic Calendar... which makes the actual days change according to our calender.  

So... this year (2008)- It starts on Sept. 1st and ends on Sept. 30th.

Next year it will be Aug. 24- Sept. 23, 2009

2010- Aug. 10 through Sept. 9
