RB Arian Foster faces DT Mario Williams in Houston Texans vs Buffalo Bills – NFL News
Houston Texans’ star rusher running back Arian Foster will be up against his former colleague and current Buffalo Bills’ defenseman Mario Williams who has accepted hefty amount of around 100 million dollars to join the side who face the Texans in a road
trip this Sunday (Nov. 04).
The trio of Foster, wide receiver Chris Johnson and quarterback Matt Schaub form one of unstoppable group of offensive players and it will be challenge for Williams-led Bills defence to challenge them.
It will be for the first time that Williams will return to Houston since departure to join Buffalo Bills off the free agency market earlier this year. He is reported to be upbeat about the prospects of facing his former colleagues, although it will be direct
defence to offence competition.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak has attempted to play down the hype of competition, saying they approach things rather differently. He said:
"We don't approach things that way. I don't know what it's going to take for us to be successful this weekend. You never know how a game's going to go. But we pride ourselves on being able to run the ball."
Some commentators expect the player to get some boos from the fans but Williams himself considers that fans will show soft corner for him given it was not his decision to part ways with the team but of the management.
He said:
"It is a decision that the general manager (Rick Smith) made. Opened the door and pretty much gave me a one way exit. That was it. At the end of the day it is what it is. It is part of the business."
In spite of Williams’ move, the Texans have been doing rather well both at defensive and offence positions. It is core of their strategy of plying high-paced offence versus their oppositions to leave no room for their offence to repulse their attacks.
They are so far with almost perfect record with 6-1 and still have to play nine games. They are atop the American Football Conference (AFC) South division.
