RB Chris Johnson rues Tennessee Titans lack of team effort in initial two games – NFL News
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is not happy with the team effort in initial two games of the season, saying they did not appear to be a side to have come on the field with clear intentions of wins.
His remarks have come closer to the view of coach Mike Munchak that they failed as much on the defence as they did on the offence, resulting in a disappointing start to their season campaign.
Chris said:
"It's the same old, same old, and we didn't really look good at all."
He added:
"Not just the running game but the offence as a whole did not look good and we didn't look like an NFL team."
Earlier, coach Mike said:
"I think it's frustrating that we just can't make more than a couple plays in a row, defence or offence."
The coach added:
"We had some chances, but you have to give credit to their defence for not allowing us to get back in the game in that second quarter. We couldn't put drives together on both sides of the ball."
So these comments speak for the entire Titans’ performance in the past two games, and particularly the last game, and although the coach has refused to press the panic button yet, there is some sense of worry among the Titans, particularly their fans, over
0-2 standing in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division.
Even Indianapolis Colts have started off rather well. They recently got a win for which they had waited for 13 games. Although it is too early for the Titans to start worrying about their standing in the division, a couple of more losses will certainly leave
them quite behind.
If the Colts win their next pair of games they will certainly be contenders for the AFC South title along with the defenders Houston Texans, and the Titans can face difficulties to catch up on the points table.
While the coach has refused introducing any changes to the squad and strategy, it is to be seen how the Titans perform in the rest of the season.
